Prekindergarten Program
At Bright Beginnings our preschool our high quality preschool classrooms provide a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where young children develop a lifelong love of learning. Rooted in developmentally appropriate practices, our program fosters the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth of each child through hands-on exploration, purposeful play, and individualized instruction.
We maintain low teacher-to-child ratios to ensure each child receives personalized attention and support. Our teachers have bachelors degrees in elementary education as well as are Texas Education Agency certified in Early Childhood through 6th Grade Generalist (all subjects). They are also TEA certified in ESL (English as a Second Language), and have completed Texas Education Agency's state mandated "Reading Academy", a rigorous program of 204 hours of additional training based on research based literacy instruction. Our teachers use evidence-based approaches to guide children through foundational concepts in language, literacy, math, science, and the arts.
Our Classrooms
Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed with engaging, age-appropriate materials that encourage curiosity, independence, and creativity. Daily routines include rich language experiences, social skill development, outdoor play, and opportunities for problem-solving and critical thinking. We use a centers based model for our preschool classroom along with teacher table for small group instruction. A centers-based preschool classroom is a thoughtfully organized learning environment where children explore, play, and learn through distinct activity areas called learning centers. These centers are designed to promote hands-on, child-directed learning aligned with early childhood developmental goals. In addition to teacher table, the center based classroom include: Literacy Center, Math/Manipulative Center, Art Center, Science/Sensory Center, and Dramatic Play. Woven throughout our curriculum are essential skills taught in Texas public school kindergarten classes by previous public school teachers with an extensive knowledge of the preschool foundation needed in order to excel in early elementary.
